Synopsis

Sometimes

Seven people from different walks of life give their blood sample for ELISA Test - AIDS Screening. To avoid the tension of waiting, they decide to bribe the technician and know the results earlier. They come to know only one among them has AIDS. Each one hoping it is not him,waits with anxiety. The film takes an unexpected turn from here creating an emotional and shocking end.

Very close to a slow thriller movie....with a hard hitting climax...one of the underrated tamil movie made by the legend Priyadarshan. All the characters had depth and well crafted script with nothing more or less for AIDS awareness.

Priyadarshan when not making mindless Hindi remakes of cult Malayalam comedies(Hera Pheri is an exception) knows how to make a film worth rewatching(Kanchivaram is a great example).Here the director depicts a sensitive and taboo subject with precision. How we create facades amongst ourselves to project a different image in society. It's shot like an intense thriller with the main twist serving as a black comedic cruelty.
A chamber film set in the waiting room of testing centre that pivots (in a way that's maybe too jarring?) into a PSA about HIV awareness and stigmatization. I was completely on board for its first half, which follows a clerk on her way to work and other characters as they line up for tests. The film stages the centre as a fascinating crossroads of anxiety, bureaucracy, and the inexorable march of time. From what I remember, there isn't any score here, either. The drone of traffic and people waiting in line is enough. But then the film leaps into drama mode—B&W flashbacks reveal how characters might have been exposed, music swells at pivotal junctures, and a twist reveals that…
The priyadarshan, who needs to make more movies….
I really wish this were a lil bit longer.... Like a usual Tamil movie.

Character details are too good and an end which I didn't expect at all.
Ashoka selvan n Prakash Raj have stolen the show but M.S Bhaskar easily scores his usual space 💯💯

It's nice and is not well known so watch it and decide it.
Well made thriller come AIDS awareness movie. Actors were good, especially Prakash RAJ was amazing. 👏🏽
A decent take on AIDS awareness but but, the climax is really fucked up.
A well crafted minimal film which talks more than just AIDS awareness. Priyadarshan's direction and the performances makes it a better film than the script allows it.
Brilliant, jus brilliant.. Already a must watch for 2017!!!
